I am excited to announce the reboot of the “Action Network”, now known as the Illinois Muslim Action Network. This is a 501-c4 non-profit organization to help promote the social welfare of our local Muslim and non-Muslim community. 51% of the mission will be geared towards community programs and 49% to political activities. We are working to help improve our position in the Illinois community, especially politically. This will be done in conjunction with the new Illinois Muslim PAC (IMPAC).
This is a unique partnership that is relatively new to our area. These affiliations are popping up in Muslim communities around the country. Politically, the c4 will work on endorsements, voter education/registration and candidate development. We will start small and build from there.
Our board is full of talented and experienced individuals who have been active in civic and community programs. The board is not complete, and we will be adding more people with talent and diversity.

Inshallah we will help our community. If we fall short or make mistakes, please forgive us. As of now, we are all volunteers, but we hope to build up our organization and apply for grants and hire staff.
As President, I want our organization to be an asset for the community. We will work on community matters the majority wants. Sometimes, politics can be controversial and divisive. I hope we will be able bring the community together on these types of matters. Transparency is vital along with explanation for action. Also, we will have an open-door policy, so community members can be heard.
